•Italian songs of the 17th and 18th centuries

•Lieder of Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, or other German art song composers

•Accompanist provided for on-campus auditions

Audition Process

•University admission and Sacred Music program admission are separate

•Apply to the university first, then complete the audition process simultaneously

•Notification of university admission is given before Sacred Music program notification

•Limited spots available in the program

Audition Expectations

•Audition is by appointment with Dr. Jessica Ewell (jewell@franciscan.edu)

•On-campus audition required for applicants within 250 miles of campus

•Applicants beyond 250 miles may submit high-quality audio recordings of an unedited performance

•On-campus auditions are highly recommended for all applicants

•Sight-singing and ear-training will also be evaluated
