Applicants must complete both the Fordham application and the Ailey School Dance Application by the BFA deadline

The Ailey School invites selected applicants to audition

Admission criteria include professional promise, flexibility, coordination, performance quality, musicality, creativity, and serious interest in dance

Applicants should have at least 3 years of consistent training in ballet and modern dance

Transfer Pathway

Transfer applicants must satisfy dance and academic criteria for advanced standing at both The Ailey School and Fordham. The bulletin says the four-year BFA may be shortened to three years for very advanced dance students with strong prior undergraduate records.
