•64-credit Associate in Science program built around theatre technology, general education, and advanced specialized technical coursework
•Hands-on learning takes place in classroom and live production settings
•Students work on music, dance, and theatre events at the Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts on South Campus
Professional Development
•Official apprentice program for the local IATSE chapter; students may begin working with the union as early as their second semester
•Second-year internships may include Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, Metropolitan Park, the Times-Union Performing Arts Center, or the Florida Theatre
•Graduates may pursue IATSE membership examination and stagehand/specialist pathways in carpentry, electrics, audio, properties, rigging, projection, or technical direction
Facilities
•Main proscenium theatre with 500 seats plus a studio theatre for smaller productions
•Wilson Center productions give students backstage exposure alongside student and professional artists
