LIVE AUDITION FORMAT
•Short ballet barre
•Ballet center combination
•Contemporary modern technique phrase work
•Improvisation exercise to demonstrate creative and analytical skills
SOLO PERFORMANCE
•90-second solo to demonstrate performance ability
ATTIRE
•Correct dance wear (leotard/tights)
•Footwear: ballet slippers and bare feet
•Students may be asked to do pointe work at instructor discretion
•Hair secured off face, no large jewelry

What's The Process
AUDITION FORMAT
•Live audition conducted by two or three current Dance Program faculty
•Audition includes ballet barre, center work, contemporary modern phrase work, improvisation, 90-second solo, and individual interview
•Only under special circumstances may students submit a video recorded audition
REQUIREMENTS
•Must have already applied to Florida Southern College
•Complete the Audition Registration Form
•Must meet FSC academic requirements for admission
