Audition Process
•Bullet: Fall 2027 admission auditions: January 23 or February 20, 2027 (all instruments); March 20, 2027 (final date for vocal and piano); April 10, 2027 (final date for winds, strings, and percussion)
•Bullet: Requirements reflect the current (2026-2027) audition cycle
•Bullet: Applicants complete a short interview about career goals and musical experience as part of the audition
•Bullet: Voice, piano, guitar, and saxophone applicants also submit required prescreen videos via Acceptd in addition to the singing videos
•Bullet: Other instruments audition live or by recorded submission without a prescreen
•Bullet: Zoom interview with the Music Therapy Coordinator (Dr. Sena Moore), held before Audition Day
•Bullet: Discusses your interest in music therapy and experience with people of diverse ages, abilities, and cultures
•Bullet: Sight-reading at the audition assesses musicianship
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: On-campus audition on the selected date
•Bullet: Out-of-state and international applicants may submit recorded auditions and participate in a Zoom interview with the area head
Decisions
•Bullet: Acceptance/non-acceptance letters sent via email approximately 2 weeks after each audition
•Bullet: Admission requires acceptance by both the Bower School of Music and FGCU Admissions
•Bullet: If denied, may reapply the following semester; denied twice = no longer eligible
