Audition Process
•Auditions for Fall 2026 admission are complete; dates and information for Spring 2027 and Fall 2027 will be posted by August 28, 2026
•Requirements reflect the most recent (2025-2026) audition cycle
•Applicants complete a short interview about career goals and musical experience as part of the audition
Prescreen
•Voice, piano, guitar, and saxophone applicants also submit required prescreen videos via Acceptd in addition to the singing videos
•Other instruments audition live or by recorded submission without a prescreen
Audition Expectations
•On-campus audition on the selected date
•Out-of-state and international applicants may submit recorded auditions and participate in a Zoom interview with the area head
Interview
•Zoom interview with the Music Therapy Coordinator (Dr. Sena Moore), held before Audition Day
•Discusses your interest in music therapy and experience with people of diverse ages, abilities, and cultures
•Sight-reading at the audition assesses musicianship
Decisions
•Acceptance/non-acceptance letters sent via email approximately 2 weeks after each audition
•Admission requires acceptance by both the Bower School of Music and FGCU Admissions
•If denied, may reapply the following semester; denied twice = no longer eligible
