Monologues
TWO CONTRASTING MONOLOGUES FROM PUBLISHED PLAYS, 3 min total
•Must be from published plays — no self-written work, musicals, movies, or novels
•At least one must be contemporary
•"Contrasting" can mean two contemporary monologues with different energy
MATERIAL SELECTION
•Must read the entire play to understand your character
•Pick material with strong objectives and age-appropriate roles
•Avoid monologue anthologies that contain pieces not from full plays

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
•2 letters of recommendation
RESUME
•List theatre experience and training

•Transfer students may audition and be admitted
•Placement in acting sequence based on audition and interview results, regardless of previous coursework

What's The Process
PRESCREEN
•Submit video audition through Acceptd portal
•Video auditions accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year
•Slate your name, degree, Panther ID (if applicable), and introduce each piece
•Re-auditioning requires new material
CALLBACK
•Invitation-only, on campus at FIU Theatre
•Callbacks scheduled twice per year
•Decisions announced approximately 45 days after callbacks
