•One contemporary and one Golden Age
•May use an accompaniment track or live pianist for prescreen video
•No unaccompanied videos will be considered
•Songs must be sung from memory
Monologues
ONE MONOLOGUE FROM A PUBLISHED PLAY, 1 min
•Must be memorized
•From a published play
Dance
ONE DANCE VIDEO, 1 min
•Perform a dance of your choosing
•Suggested genres: contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, or tap
•Must be a solo video — you should be the only one dancing
Wildcard / Special Skill
WILD CARD VIDEO
•Submit a short video that shows something unique about you
•Can be a special skill, interest, or talent outside of performing

APPLICATION PORTAL

•University application via Common App or FIU portal required
•Both applications must be completed to be reviewed for admission and scholarships
PRESCREEN DEADLINES
•By October 15 for November audition (results by November 1)
•By January 15 for February audition (results by January 30)
•By February 15 for March audition (results by February 28)
ELIGIBILITY
•Prescreen requirements are the same for both BM and MM degrees
What's The Process
PRESCREEN
•Upload all materials to GetAcceptd
•Materials must be submitted 2 weeks prior to preferred live audition date
•Prescreen results released approximately 2 weeks before each audition date
LIVE AUDITION
•Invitation-only after passing prescreen
•In-person at the Wertheim School of Music
•Audition includes singing, monologue, and dance components

Scholarship Info
SCHOLARSHIPS
•Music scholarships automatically considered once you apply and audition
•Must be admitted by the November audition date for FIU merit-based scholarship consideration
•Complete FAFSA for additional financial aid, work-study, and FIU-wide scholarships
