PROGRAM RECOGNITION
•BFA in Design and Technology offers an integral, creative, and inclusive space for students looking to pursue a career in design, stage technology, and stage management
•Embraces 6 areas of production: technical direction, stage management, scenic, costume and lighting design and technology
TRAINING
•Students trained in a variety of techniques, skills, and tools essential to their area of interest
•Students work alongside graduate students and a faculty of working professionals
•Opportunities to connect with professional theatre artists in their field
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Design and manage departmental season, Summer Rep productions, and professional resident theatre company productions
•Theatre Lab professional resident theatre company provides unique opportunities to work alongside professional artists
•Since 2015, Theatre Lab has produced twenty full productions, eight world premieres, and provided over 80 FAU students with paid internships
NOTABLE ALUMNI
•Over 36 recent graduates employed on professional contracts onstage and backstage across regional theatre, film, and television
•Alumni working in scenic design, lighting design, costume design, and stage management at professional theatres throughout South Florida and nationally
