Theatre Scholarships
•Essential Theatre Scholarship supports freshmen, transfers, and current students who declare theatre, demonstrate artistry, and participate in Essential Theatre
•Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby Theatre Program Scholarship supports incoming freshmen or current theatre majors with a minimum 2.5 GPA
•T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh Endowed Theatre Scholarship supports Black African-descended sophomore, junior, or senior theatre majors and requires a statement of unmet financial need plus an essay on positive Black African images in media/entertainment
Scholarship Audition
•Performance applicants audition before the Scholarship Committee
•Prepare two contrasting monologues and a verse and chorus of one song with piano or pre-recorded instrumental-only accompaniment
•Total audition should not exceed 4 minutes
•Out-of-town applicants may arrange to send a pre-recorded video
Eligibility
•Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and full-time enrollment (12+ hours)
•Active member of Essential Theatre with demonstrated artistry and commitment beyond classroom assignments
•Scholarship recipients are expected to accept assigned performance, backstage, and front-of-house roles and volunteer for Essential Theatre activities
•Scholars must maintain 3.0 GPA in major courses and 2.5 cumulative GPA
