Monologues

Prepared Monologues

Prepare two contrasting monologues, each 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes

First piece: contemporary published play, ideally written from 2010 onward, memorised

Second piece: text from any period; television or film text is allowed, but avoid especially famous performances

Choose material that suits you and that you are comfortable exploring in a workshop

Audition Process

Online applicants upload recordings before an interview slot is allocated

In-person session lasts about three hours and includes a 30-minute warm-up, speech sharing and a two-hour workshop

Both formats include an individual interview

Interviews for September 2027 entry run November 2026 – March 2027; 2026-entry interview bookings are closed, though late applicants can still apply for September 2026 through Clearing
