Program Recognition
•NASM-accredited Bachelor of Music in Performance, described by the Conservatory as its most music-intensive degree
•Selective admission with an intentionally small 6:1 student-to-faculty ratio; students are admitted conditionally pending comprehensive juries at the end of freshman and sophomore years
Training
•Weekly studio classes, required student recitals, and an annual concerto competition
•Applied music, ensemble performance, theory, history, pedagogy, and literature coursework
•Many faculty serve as principal players with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, performing side-by-side with performance majors
Performance & Productions
•The Conservatory hosts over 90 concerts each year with guest artists, faculty, and student performers
•Choirs, orchestra/strings, wind ensemble, jazz ensembles, chamber groups, and opera productions
Degree Flexibility
•Optional Jazz Studies Certificate (12 credit hours) in jazz theory, literature, improvisation, and performance
•String Fellowship Program, a partnership with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra offering contract playing opportunities and student salaries
