•Apply to Evangel University via Common App or the Evangel application portal
•Application is free
•An audition in the primary area of study is required to be admitted as a music major (voice, keyboard, or instrumental)
Placement
•Admitted students take a music theory placement exam at orientation — for course placement only, not admission
Scholarship Deadlines
•Early scholarship submission deadline: November 15
•All auditions must be held or submitted by March 1
Program Details
•Bachelor of Arts in Music — liberal-arts (non-vocational) approach to the study of music (49 music credits)
•Designed for students who love music and prefer a general-studies music degree that integrates with another vocational calling; pairs with a minor
•Coursework in music theory, composition, history, sight-singing/ear training, applied lessons, and ensembles
•All music majors (except Performance majors) complete a Sophomore Review jury during the 4th semester
