TRAINING
•Integrated curriculum combining theatre technique, vocal performance, music theory, piano, and dance forms
•Students train across disciplines to meet the demands of musical theatre as a distinct art form
•Developed through both studio classes and live performance opportunities from freshman year
•Co-chair Jason Narvy — actor known for playing Skull on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, teaches acting, directing, and musical theatre; PhD in Theatre from UC Santa Barbara
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Department regularly produces full-scale musicals alongside straight plays — recent titles include Heathers: The Musical, Cabaret, Ride the Cyclone, and The Fantasticks
•Additional performance outlets through Stage II one-acts and student cabarets

LOCATION
•90 minutes from NYC — students take day trips to see Broadway shows and attend workshops with guest artists including Cirque du Soleil performers and casting directors
DEGREE FLEXIBILITY
•Complementary minors available in Dance and Music to deepen triple-threat training
•All theatre majors share a core curriculum before specializing, providing broad collaborative foundation
