•The BM Music Performance degree combines advanced primary-instrument study with music theory, history, literature, and a broad liberal-arts foundation.
Training
•Brass students receive free private instruction and work with faculty on the repertoire and technique of trumpet, horn, euphonium, trombone, or tuba.
•Weekly or bi-weekly studio classes supplement individual lessons and connect students with other brass players.
Performance & Productions
•Brass musicians can perform in the 80-member Wind Ensemble and in focused groups such as Horn Choir, Trumpet Ensemble, and Low Brass Ensemble.
•Low Brass Ensemble includes music performance and music education majors, music minors, and students from other fields, creating a broad collaborative performance community.
Professional Development
•Solo, chamber, and large-ensemble work gives brass students multiple performance settings while the degree’s professional-musician, independent-teacher, and graduate-study pathways keep the applied focus clear.
