Submission Requirements

These requirements are from the Fall 2026 entry cycle. Fall 2027 requirements are typically posted between August and October and usually change only slightly — confirm on the official source before submitting.

•2-5 minutes

•Video may feature modern/contemporary dance (preferred), ballet, jazz, hip-hop, or original choreography

•Host the video online and submit a public streaming URL

•Password-protected, private, and uploaded video files are not accepted

Application Logistics

•Optional video supplement (2-5 min) submitted via the Emory Dance supplement form after filing your university application

•Supplement must arrive by the deadline for your admission plan or it will not be reviewed

•Dance Program does not make admissions decisions — supplements provide feedback to the admissions committee

Enrollment

•Enrolled students may audition for the Emory Dance Company (EDC) independent of the degree program

What's The Process

Audition Process

•No audition required to major or minor in dance

•Students are admitted through the Emory University Office of Admission

•Once enrolled, students planning to major or minor should meet with full-time faculty to discuss plans
