Submission Requirements

These requirements are from the Fall 2026 entry cycle. Fall 2027 requirements are typically posted between August and October and usually change only slightly — confirm on the official source before submitting.

Video may feature modern/contemporary dance (preferred), ballet, jazz, hip-hop, or original choreography

Host the video online and submit a public streaming URL

Password-protected, private, and uploaded video files are not accepted

Application Logistics

Optional video supplement (2-5 min) submitted via the Emory Dance supplement form after filing your university application

Dance Program does not make admissions decisions — supplements provide feedback to the admissions committee

Submit the university application under your chosen admission plan before sending the optional Dance supplement. An early admission plan is not required just to submit the supplement.

Emory Early Decision I and II are binding; Regular Decision is nonbinding. Emory Scholars consideration is optional and is not a separate required university application.

The Dance supplement has its own deadline for each plan, separate from the university application deadline.

The published Dance supplement schedule still identifies Fall 2026 applicants. Fall 2027 supplement deadlines are not yet published on the reviewed page; do not treat the older dates as the new cycle.

Enrolled students may audition for the Emory Dance Company (EDC) independent of the degree program

What's The Process

Audition Process

No audition required to major or minor in dance

Students are admitted through the Emory University Office of Admission

Once enrolled, students planning to major or minor should meet with full-time faculty to discuss plans

Submit after filing your university application via the Dance supplement form
