•One-year CertHE in Musical Theatre Performance validated by the University of Bedfordshire
•EDA is a University of Bedfordshire study centre, so students are enrolled as University of Bedfordshire students
•Bespoke-written course focused on performance, audition readiness, and progression to the next level of training
Training
•Intensive triple-threat training across acting, singing, and dance
•Up to 30 contact hours per week across 3 terms
•Students complete 120 Level 4 credits across musical theatre repertoire, dance technique/choreography, acting, and performance analysis
•Weekly private one-to-one singing lessons, West End jazz, acting, ballet, ensemble singing, tap, song and dance, acting through song, and masterclasses
•Optional private sector hours add 10-15 studio-based hours per week
Performance & Productions
•Term 3 culminates in a professionally supported showcase of work at EDA's Factory Playhouse Theatre
•Students participate in a musical theatre project during the course
Professional Development
•Course is designed to help students progress to further HE training or professional industry work
•Professional development covers casting, industry job roles, tax returns, nutrition, and related career skills
•West End masterclasses taught by professionals working in top UK touring and West End shows
Facilities
•56,000-square-foot Letchworth campus with 17 studios, 3 theatres, private one-to-one rooms, content creation studio, library, physio room, and student wellbeing spaces
•Facilities include a 250-seat theatre, 100-seat studio theatre, and access to the 450-seat Broadway Theatre
