PROGRAM OVERVIEW
•Accepts approximately 16 new students annually — highly personalized training
•Intensive BFA curriculum covering acting, singing, and dance across all four years
•Individual voice instruction all four years; dance training in ballet, modern, jazz, and tap
PRODUCTIONS & PERFORMANCE
•Performance opportunities from first semester in musicals, plays, dance concerts, revues, recitals, and student-generated productions
•Three main-stage musical productions per year: Fall and Winter Musicals in the 572-seat McCrary Theatre; Spring Musical in the intimate Roberts Studio Theatre black box
•Grand Night: faculty-mentored, student-generated musical revue where students conceive, direct, choreograph, music direct, arrange, and perform
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
•Senior Casting Series: graduating students audition for top agents and casting directors with workshops and personalized coaching; some seniors perform live at 54 Below or Joe’s Pub in NYC
•On-campus auditions hosted annually with professional theatre companies for summer work
•Experiential Learning Requirement: internships required before graduation; past placements include Paper Mill Playhouse, The Muny, Pittsburgh CLO, Santa Fe Opera, and Broadway
GUEST ARTISTS & STUDY ABROAD
•Guest artists have included Kristin Chenoweth, Jason Robert Brown, Hal Prince, Adam Guettel, Beth Leavel, and Norm Lewis
•Study abroad: classical studies in Greece, London semester residencies, winters in Ghana, summers in Italy, internships with London Theatre; Study USA in LA and DC
ALUMNI SUCCESS
•Alumni on Broadway in Hamilton, Hadestown, Wicked, Moulin Rouge!, Dear Evan Hansen, The Great Gatsby, and many more

ELIGIBILITY
•A student may submit a maximum of two applications for Performing Arts Department programs
•Acceptance to the program also requires separate admission to Elon University

What's The Process
PRESCREEN:
•Two-phase audition process — not all applicants will be asked to complete Phase 2
•Submit prescreen via Acceptd; late submissions will not be reviewed and deadlines cannot be extended
•Fall Prescreen Deadline: September 14, 2025 (11:59 PM ET)
•Winter/Spring Prescreen Deadline: December 1, 2025 (11:59 PM ET)
CALLBACK AUDITION:
•Applicants who pass the prescreen are invited to an in-person callback on Elon’s campus
•All callback auditions take place on campus; final auditions are not conducted at remote locations
•Fall Dates: October 31 and November 7, 2025
•Winter/Spring Dates: February 6, 13, and 20, 2026
SCHEDULING:
•Callback scheduling is first-come, first-served; once a date is full, choose an alternate
•No waitlist for audition dates; no additional auditions beyond daily capacity
•Once an audition date has been scheduled, it cannot be changed
•Fall audition invitations released by October 7, 2025
•Winter/Spring audition invitations released by January 13, 2026
