•BA (A.B.) degree emphasizing engaged learning and hands-on practices
•Students encouraged to get involved in productions from first year
•Prior experience not required — successful applicants come from drawing, photography, sculpture, and other creative backgrounds
Professional Development
•Participate in musicals, plays, dance concerts, student productions, musical revues, and professional quality workshops
•Portfolio review focuses on goals, interests, and creative process rather than a checklist of skills
•USITT and Southeastern Theatre Conference involvement provides interview access with professional companies
•Alumni have worked with Alvin Ailey Dance Company and professional theatres nationwide
•Summer stock placements encouraged between spring and fall semesters

•On and off-campus scene shops, costume shops, and a design studio with CNC robotic router, 1-6 scale theatre lab, state-of-the-art lighting consoles, and sound/video editing software
•Course offerings: scenic design, lighting design, sound design, costume design and construction, stage management, properties, scene painting, and stagecraft
