No separate Theatre application or admission audition is published.

Students apply through Elmira College's undergraduate application routes.

Transfer Pathway

Elmira admits SUNY Broome and Corning Community College AA/AS graduates directly as Juniors, and SUNY Broome's acting, stagecraft, and directing coursework maps directly onto Theatre major requirements. Transfers from other institutions bring up to 68 credits (two-year college) or 90 credits (four-year institution), completing at least 30 credits at Elmira including 15 in the Theatre major.

Scholarship Info

Theatre Arts Award

Admitted Theatre majors are automatically considered for a $1,500 annual award, renewable for up to four years with a $6,000 maximum

Selection requires either an audition (Performance track) or an interview (Production track), scheduled with the Theatre Program Manager

Recipients must remain full-time Theatre majors in good standing and participate in at least one theatre production each year
