Audition Expectations

•Bullet: Includes a brief interview with the director of music admissions and faculty
•Bullet: Music Theory Assessment completed after audition (non-binding)
•Bullet: Business casual dress recommended
•Bullet: Jeans, sneakers, shorts, and t-shirts discouraged
Portfolio Review
•Bullet: Composition portfolio is reviewed by faculty alongside the entrance interview
Performance Audition
•Bullet: Applicants also audition on a major instrument or voice for the department using the per-instrument audition requirements
•Bullet: Meet with faculty to discuss your portfolio, background, and career aspirations
