Training
•El Camino's Dance AA is supported by three dance studios with Marley flooring, fixed wall ballet barres, free-standing barres, Pilates reformers, and dance-conditioning equipment.
•Coursework spans ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip-hop, Latin social, ballroom, African, Mexican, and world dance styles, giving students a broad technical foundation.
•Faculty members are working dance professionals in the Los Angeles area, including instructors with MFAs from UC Irvine and other regional programs.
Performance & Productions
•Formal performances and informal showings throughout the year give students opportunities to perform, choreograph, and contribute to production crews.
•Students collaborate with professional adjunct instructors on live productions and build production knowledge through costuming and lighting work.
•The department's Center for the Arts setting and proximity to Los Angeles and Hollywood connect dance study with regional performance, film, theatre, and commercial-dance opportunities.
