•Bullet: BFA Musical Theatre combines pre-professional theatre training with a small liberal arts environment
•Bullet: Catalog requirements include acting, musical theatre history, music theory, voice, dance technique, senior project, and professional theatre experience
•Bullet: BFA students jury yearly before department faculty, and Musical Theatre students audition for a practicum assignment every semester
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Barter Theatre partnership gives students access to professional theatre artists, internships, talkbacks, rehearsal observation, masterclasses, workshops, and mentorships
•Bullet: Students may attend up to ten Barter productions per year through the department partnership
Professional Development
•Bullet: Theatre alumni career destinations listed by the department include Barter Theatre, Disney World, Portland Playhouse, Stella Adler Studio, and regional theatre companies across the country
