Training
•BFA Musical Theatre combines pre-professional theatre training with a small liberal arts environment
•Catalog requirements include acting, musical theatre history, music theory, voice, dance technique, senior project, and professional theatre experience
•BFA students jury yearly before department faculty, and Musical Theatre students audition for a practicum assignment every semester
Performance & Productions
•Barter Theatre partnership gives students access to professional theatre artists, internships, talkbacks, rehearsal observation, masterclasses, workshops, and mentorships
•Students may attend up to ten Barter productions per year through the department partnership
Professional Development
•Theatre alumni career destinations listed by the department include Barter Theatre, Disney World, Portland Playhouse, Stella Adler Studio, and regional theatre companies across the country
Facilities
•Students train and perform in the Woodrow W. McGlothlin Center for the Arts
