•BFA with concentration in Performance and Choreography
•Rigorous curriculum in ballet, modern, and jazz beginning freshman year
•Additional coursework in improvisation, theatre technology, kinesiology, pedagogy, and dance history
•Senior choreography project required
•Recent guest artist residencies with Lane Alexander, Monica Bill Barnes, Sidra Bell, Mark Dendy, Michelle Dorrance, Mia Michaels, Doug Varone, and others
•Choreographers who have set work on ECU dancers: David Dorfman, Frank Chavez, Roni Koresh, David Parsons
•S. Rudolph Alexander Performing Arts Series presents world-class companies in residence (Dorrance Dance, Parsons Dance, Urban Bushwomen)
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Two mainstage productions annually plus multiple studio concerts each semester
•Performances in McGinnis Theatre, Archie Burnette Studio Theatre, and on regional tour
•State-of-the-art Innovation Design Lab for dance science and human movement study

•Marlayna Locklear — performed with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Robert Moses' KIN, and San Francisco Opera; founding director of Indurance Dance Intensive
•Kevan Sullivan — principal dancer with Koresh Dance Company for 10 years; performed Martha Graham's Diversion of Angels
