Percussion
•Keyboard mallets: major scales and a short solo excerpt or etude
•Timpani: demonstrate tuning technique and a short solo excerpt or etude
•Snare drum: a short solo excerpt or etude in concert or rudimental style
•Drum set: demonstrate versatility in various styles (swing, bossa nova, funk, waltz, rock)
•Sight reading

Strings
•One movement from a standard classical sonata or concerto
•One movement of unaccompanied Bach or a similar etude
•Three-octave scales, up to 3 sharps/flats
•Sight reading
•Accompanist recommended but not required

Guitar
•Scales: two octaves in any key (i-m), both major and minor
•Two memorized pieces in contrasting styles from standard repertoire
•Familiarity with basic right- and left-hand techniques and reading in first position
•Students interested in jazz and rock may also audition
