Audition Process

Theatre scholarship auditions and technical presentations are optional for incoming students seeking endowed scholarships or CMTA Excellence Awards

Performance auditionees prepare two contrasting monologues

Technical presenters prepare a brief display of design, technical, stage management, or publicity work

Audition Expectations

Optional 16-bar musical theatre selection is strongly encouraged for performance auditionees

Accompanist provided for singers; bring sheet music in a 3-ring binder

Total audition/tech presentation time should not exceed 5 minutes
