Training
•The PreK-12 Instrumental pathway combines the Music major with educator preparation in brass, percussion, string, woodwind, elementary-music, and secondary-music methods.
•Students declare a band or orchestral instrument; piano or guitar may be primary when paired with additional study on a band or orchestral instrument.
Professional Development
•Education students begin classroom observation within their first five weeks and complete field experiences nearly every semester.
•The pathway culminates in full-time student teaching with support from a classroom teacher and an EMU representative.
