Audition Process
•If the audition is unsuccessful, students may repeat it once
•All incoming music students must audition to be formally accepted
Audition Expectations
•In-person, video, or Zoom audition options available
•Request an audition via the department's online form
•Accompanist provided, or bring your own
•Sight-reading from selected hymns and folksongs
•Aural skills evaluation: pitch matching, rhythm clapping, chord identification, and sing-back of short melodies
•Upload unedited video to YouTube or Vimeo (private link)
•Submit link via department's online form
•Faculty review video and schedule a Zoom interview
•Zoom interview may include aural skills, sight-reading, and scales
