Songs

Two Contrasting Selections (Scholarship Audition)

Two selections or movements in contrasting styles

Repertoire should demonstrate clear and focused tone quality, understanding of musical line, accurate rhythm, and good intonation

Voice auditions must be accompanied by piano

Bring your own pianist or request one (no fee) when registering

Bring a copy of your music in the correct key

All admitted students planning to major in music are invited to attend Open House

What's The Process

Audition Process

No audition required for admission to the music major

Any student admitted to Eastern may declare a music major

Auditions are only required for scholarship consideration

Prepare two contrasting selections or movements

Voice auditions must be accompanied by piano; an accompanist is available at no fee

In-person, alternate-date, and recorded scholarship auditions are available
