Important Notes

Complete the online scholarship audition form to reserve a time slot

Music majors with prior piano experience may test out of prerequisite Class Piano levels during the first semester — course placement only, not admission

Some courses require a background check and an active Arizona Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance card

What's The Process

Audition Process

No audition required for program admission (open admissions)

Optional scholarship audition available for financial support

In-person auditions held in the Choir Room at the EA Fine Arts Auditorium

Arrive at least five minutes prior to your audition time and wait outside until called

Audition Expectations

Students unable to attend in person may request a video audition by contacting the voice coordinator

Music Scholarship

Audition-based music scholarships awarded by the director of each performing group

Awards are merit-driven, recognizing skills and commitment

Arizona Teachers Academy Scholarship

Last-dollar scholarship for Music Education majors, applied after FAFSA aid, Pell Grant, and other non-loan scholarships

Renewable each semester for up to four semesters while you remain eligible

No Arizona residency required to apply

Recipients agree to teach in an Arizona public or charter school for one year per year of funding

Apply after admission as a Music Education major and completion of the FAFSA
