Songs

Requirements

•Two Memorized and Accompanied Selections in Contrasting Styles

•One in english (may be Musical Theatre)

•One foreign-language art song or aria (Italian, German, or French)

Additional Components

•Sight reading

•Tonal memory exercises

•Range vocalizations

Repertoire Guidelines

•All selections must be published for solo voice and piano

•No choral music, original songs, or recorded accompaniment

•Musical Theatre selections are acceptable for the English piece

Audition Process

•Apply to ETSU first and obtain your E number

•Complete the online voice application form

•Schedule your audition date

•In-person auditions strongly encouraged

•Video auditions allowed only if you live more than 150 miles from campus

Audition Expectations

•Treat the audition as a professional interview and dress appropriately (avoid jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, and casual clothes)

Decisions

•Notification of acceptance within one month of audition

•Scholarship information arrives in separate email
