Training
•The 87-credit Bachelor of Music Therapy curriculum combines four field-study courses with psychology of music, medical music therapy, developmental and behavioral health, techniques and interventions, research methods, guitar, psychology, and biology
•Students complete Bronze, Silver, and Gold music therapy skills assessments, piano proficiency, ensembles, and applied study on a major instrument through Level 4
Professional Development
•The degree includes a music therapy capstone and internship
•Students gain practical clinical experience through the Drury University Center for Music Therapy and Wellness with clients including children with autism and learning disabilities, assisted-living residents, people receiving palliative care, and people with behavioral-health needs
Facilities
•The on-campus clinic in Springfield Hall includes large and small activity rooms with adjoining observation rooms
