•Music tracks require a minimum grade of C- in major coursework

What's The Process

Program Continuation Audition

•No audition is required for initial university admission to the BA Music program

•All music majors must perform and pass an audition before the music faculty by the end of the first semester as a music major

•Students who do not pass after two attempts may not continue as music majors

•After four semesters of music study, all music majors must pass a sophomore review to continue in the major

Scholarship Auditions

•Optional performing arts scholarship auditions are available through Drury's scholarship/audition forms

•Drury offers both live auditions and video auditions for music activity-grant consideration

Performing Arts Scholarships

•Drury Distinguished Performance Award: $30,000 scholarship competition for high school seniors in vocal music, instrumental music, theatre performance, and technical theatre

•2026 event dates: Thursday, November 5, or Friday, November 6

•RSVP requested by Monday, November 2, 2026

•Students must be admitted to Drury by January 15, 2027

Activity Grants

•$1,000 performing arts activity grant available to incoming students who participate in music and/or theatre

•Students who are not competing for the Distinguished Performance Award may still earn stackable activity awards

•Music awards are renewable up to five years with satisfactory academic progress
