Scholarship Audition Requirements

These requirements are from the Fall 2026 entry cycle. Fall 2027 requirements are typically posted between August and October and usually change only slightly — confirm on the official source before submitting.

Optional audition for scholarship consideration only; it is not required for program admission.

Songs

Scholarship Audition Repertoire

Instrumentalists: perform a solo or etude that demonstrates technical ability; wind players also prepare major scales

Pianists: perform solo repertoire that demonstrates technical ability and musicianship

Vocalists: vocalize through low and high ranges, then perform a folk song, art song, or aria; avoid Broadway and radio-pop selections

Applicants may submit more than one instrument or combine instrumental and vocal auditions
