Scholarship Audition Requirements

Optional audition for scholarship consideration - not required for program admission.

Repertoire List

•Brass and woodwinds: two major scales of your choice in two octaves; chromatic scale from bottom to top of range; at least 5 minutes of a prepared larger work with contrasting-style sections

•Percussion: keyboard percussion solo plus two major scales; snare drum solo; optional timpani or multiple-percussion solo

•Guitar, strings, and piano: contact the listed faculty member for appropriate repertoire before auditioning

•Woodwind, brass, and percussion video auditions do not require an accompanist

•Complete the DMC Foundation Scholarship Application (available February 1 through April 30, 2026)

•Music theory placement exam is taken online before the first semester and is used for course placement, not admission
