No audition required to apply. Students audition for the program after enrolling at the university.

TWO 32-BAR MUSICAL THEATRE SELECTIONS demonstrating vocal range
•Bring own sheet music; accompanist provided
Monologues
ONE MONOLOGUE, max 60 sec
Dance
MOVEMENT CALL
•Movement call in the style of Musical Theatre Jazz at end of audition
•Bring comfortable movement clothes and jazz shoes
Additional Materials
•HEADSHOT (snapshot quality acceptable)
•THEATRICAL resume — one page maximum, covering training and performance from last 4 years
•Complete PERFORMING ARTS SUPPLEMENT in Application Portal at least 48 hours before audition

•Apply via Common App or Dean College direct application
•Professional, comfortable audition attire; bring movement clothes for dance call
What's The Process
AUDITION LOGISTICS
•In-person auditions at Dr. Paula M. Rooney Student Center, Franklin MA
•Check-in 45 minutes before start; auditions begin promptly at 9:00 AM
•Standard auditions last approximately 3 hours
•Results are NOT given on audition day — evaluations sent to admissions for holistic review
VIDEO AUDITION
•Video audition can be submitted in place of on-campus audition
•Host on YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive with security permissions turned off
•Submit video link via Performing Arts Supplement in Application Portal

Scholarship Info
PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP
•Recognizes outstanding achievement in Theatre
•Reserved for students applying directly to Theatre programs
•Award may be revised if student changes majors
EARLY ACTION SCHOLARSHIP
•$2,000 award for applications submitted by December 1
•Available to both first-year and transfer students
MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
•Additional merit scholarships (Oliver Dean Honors, Trustee's, Presidential) based on academic record
•Dean provides an average of $28 million in institutional aid annually
