Audition Process
•Bullet: Three memorized performance pieces required: modern monologue, poetic text, and song
•Bullet: Applicants may be asked to re-perform with direction to demonstrate imagination and spontaneity
•Bullet: Wear comfortable clothing and footwear allowing freedom of movement
•Bullet: Followed by a 10-minute teleconference interview with auditors
•Bullet: Scholarship auditions are offered on the published in-person dates or by recorded video by the scholarship deadline
•Bullet: Non-scholarship auditions are accepted on a case-by-case basis through April 9, 2027, either in person or by video as arranged by the applicant
Post-Enrollment
•Bullet: Applicant scope — current students/internal transfer: Dalhousie students completing THEA 1801/1802 audition separately at the end of the winter term for entry to the upper three years of Acting
•Bullet: The current-student gateway includes an individual in-person audition and a group callback
•Bullet: Dalhousie has not yet published the 2027 current-student audition or callback dates
