Audition Process
•Bullet: Audition required for admission to the CWU Department of Music
•Bullet: Audition in person on a campus audition date, or submit a recorded audition online through Acceptd
•Bullet: Auditions run about 10 minutes and include performance plus a brief discussion of goals and fit
•Bullet: Audition by March 1 for music scholarship consideration
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: Prepare material under the guidance of a private teacher or music director when possible
•Bullet: Arrive at least 10 minutes early and dress professionally
Post-Enrollment
•Bullet: Faculty may ask for basic sight-singing, piano competency, or aural recognition
•Bullet: Mastery is not required; musicianship is considered alongside vocal potential and previous training
