What's The Process
AUDITION COMPONENTS
•Principal voice or instrument performance (two prepared pieces)
•Piano placement examination
-Perform a piece demonstrating current skill level
-Scales, arpeggios, cadences, and sight reading
•Music theory examination
-Key signatures, intervals, chords, scales, Roman numeral analysis
-Rhythmic patterns, time signatures, melody dictation
•Aural skills evaluation
-Ear training aptitude assessment
-Sing a simple folk song, carol, hymn, or patriotic song
FORMAT
•In-person audition at Bloomsburg or Mansfield campus
•Virtual audition (video/Zoom) available for those 200+ miles away
-Recording must be unedited with minimum two contrasting works
-Sight reading, theory, and aural skills completed via Zoom
