Public or listed URLs will not function
Video should be approximately 3 minutes

Additional Materials
ORIGINAL PERFORMANCE VIDEO (3 minutes)
-Compose and record an original performance piece
-Must include at least 3 of the following elements: water, 30 seconds of chaos, 15 seconds of absolute stillness, two contrasting music choices, a gift, a photograph, a garment, unexpected light, garbage, jazz, or a revelation
-Short excerpts of poetry, text, and/or music from external sources encouraged, as well as original material
LETTER OF INTENT (1-2 pages, Word or PDF)
-Why you want to study Performance Creation at Concordia
-Personal background, talents, and cultural connections
-Goals and meaningful theatre/performance experiences
-Include bullet-point responses on training, languages, physical disciplines, and recent reading
PHOTO
OPTIONAL E-PORTFOLIO demonstrating creative practice (music, sound, design, visual arts)
-Writing samples acceptable (10-page maximum excerpts)

Application fee: $100 CAD
Then submit theatre-specific materials via the Theatre Admission Questionnaire (admissions.hybrid.concordia.ca)

What's The Process

PRESCREEN:

Video submission required before callback invitation
Submit prescreen materials by March 1 (February 1 recommended for early consideration)

WORKSHOP/INTERVIEW:

Short-listed applicants invited to in-person workshop (March 21) or remote interview via Zoom (March 22)
Indicate preference for in-person or remote in your application
For in-person workshops, arrive 30 minutes before your appointment

Scholarship Info

OUT-OF-PROVINCE AWARDS (university-level, auto-awarded)

Canada Scholars Awards: $1,500–$4,000 in year one, renewable annually
-Amount varies by admission average (B- through A+)
Canada Transfer Student Awards: $2,000 (non-renewable)
Indigenous Student Awards: $3,000 annually, renewable
No separate application needed — automatically awarded at admission
Must be Canadian students or permanent residents from outside Quebec
