Audition Requirements

These requirements are from the Fall 2026 entry cycle. Fall 2027 requirements are typically posted between August and October and usually change only slightly — confirm on the official source before submitting.

Dance

Audition

In-person candidates complete a 75-minute contemporary technique group class

Candidates then complete a 75-minute guided choreographic process and develop solo material

Video Option

Applicants unable to attend for geographic or financial reasons may submit a recorded audition

Complete the pre-audition questionnaire after applying to Concordia

Statement

Submit a letter of intent describing your dance background and what you expect to gain from the program

Application Logistics

Complete Concordia’s undergraduate application before the dance questionnaire

Fall 2026 dance applications are closed

Concordia states that the next fall application will become available October 1, 2026

The standard program deadline is March 1; international applicants should apply by February 1

Transfer Pathway

Concordia evaluates transfer applicants to Contemporary Dance through the standard Fine Arts admission process and may grant general transfer credit. Newly admitted Fine Arts students can request a program-specific placement review for prior coursework.
