Monologues

Two Contrasting Monologues (for Scholarship Audition)

Each monologue should be approximately 1 minute in length

Monologues should contrast each other (classical/contemporary or comic/dramatic)

Audition Process

Admission is through the university application process

Perform two contrasting monologues (1 minute each)

May optionally sing 32 bars of a song

Auditions can be in person before faculty or via recorded video

Award amounts vary based on the number of qualifying students and available funds; awarded on ability

Available to majors and non-majors participating in theatre

Renewal Requirements

Participate in two productions per season (actor, designer, director, crew, or house manager)

Enroll in one 3-unit theatre course per year

Maintain a 2.5 GPA
