Training
•Four-course, 13-credit certificate built on Acting I (ENGL 131), Acting II (ENGL 132), and Rehearsal and Performance (ENGL 142)
•Coursework targets auditions and background work in the theater and film industries — character creation, scene work, and on-set collaboration
•Choose a craft elective: Voice and Articulation (ENGL 120) or Movement and Dance for Actors (ENGL 135)
•All four courses transfer directly into CCP's 62-credit A.A. Theater degree
Performance & Productions
•Rehearsal and Performance (ENGL 142) puts students on stage in the Bonnell Building's Black Box Theater
•Theater Program hosts the Play Development Series with Philadelphia Young Playwrights and has staged professional collaborations such as Philadelphia Theatre Company's Night Side Songs
Professional Development
•Theater transfer partners include Temple, West Chester, Arcadia, Bloomsburg, Eastern, IUP, Millersville, and Slippery Rock for students continuing toward a four-year theater degree
