Audition Requirements
Dance
SOLO PERFORMANCE, 1 min minimum
•Choose a style you are comfortable with
•Video must be filmed within the last three months
MODERN PHRASE
•Learn the modern phrase from CSU Dance faculty via provided YouTube link
•Record yourself performing it and submit with application
BALLET PHRASE
•Learn the ballet phrase from CSU Dance faculty via provided YouTube link
•Record yourself performing it and submit with application
ATTIRE
•Wear clothing that allows faculty to see your body (leggings and fitted top, or tights and leotard)
•Do not rent studio space — videos may be filmed anywhere with space to dance

What's The Process
AUDITION PROCESS
•Submit solo, modern phrase, and ballet phrase videos via Acceptd
•Schedule a 15-minute interview with 2–3 dance faculty (in-person at Dance Experience or via Zoom)
•Applications evaluated in November and February
•After February, applications accepted until the program is full
IN-PERSON DANCE EXPERIENCE
•Interviews conducted in person at on-campus Dance Experience days
•Opportunity to perform your solo live and take classes in modern, hip hop, and ballet
•Solo video must still be uploaded through the application
RESULTS
•Decision letters emailed within three weeks of interview
•Letters note whether student is accepted to BA or BFA
