Audition Process
•Perform an audition on your principal instrument or voice (Music Education/Business repertoire for your area)
•In-person audition or recorded video submission accepted
•Includes CMU music orientation, music theory placement exam, and audition performance
•Audition also serves as scholarship audition
•Confirm repertoire with your area instructor before the audition
Recorded Submission
•Record in landscape orientation from a fixed camera position with good natural acoustics
•Video must clearly show your full face, entire body, and instrument
•No digital alteration of video or audio; recordings must be from within the last year
•Upload to YouTube as UNLISTED — no other platforms accepted; include performer name in the title
•Slate each selection: name, title of composition, composer
•Email video links to your area instructor and indicate it is your online audition
