Audition Process
•Submit digital audition through Acceptd
•Faculty review begins August 1, 2025
•Goal is to review all submissions within two weeks
•If not notified within three weeks, contact Monica Bell at bfatheatre@coastal.edu
•Submit early — final audition slots are first come, first served
•The Fine Arts Center (FAC) College Day — Greenville, SC
•SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities — Greenville, SC
•Douglas Anderson School for the Arts (DASOTA) — Jacksonville, FL
•South Carolina Theatre Association Conference (SCTA) — Orangeburg, SC
Audition Expectations
•On-campus audition day includes workshops, campus tour, student forum, and lunch
•Designed to assess ensemble fit and ability to take direction
•Invited candidates attend a full-day on-campus audition/interview
•Includes series of workshops (to assess training, direction-taking, and ensemble fit), campus tour, open forum with current students, lunch, and possible invitation to attend a season production

Decisions
•Offers cannot be made until applicant has been accepted to the university
•Early Action applicants (by November 15): CCU notifies of academic acceptance by December 15; if two-step audition process is complete, Theatre Dept. notifies of BFA placement in early January
•Regular Decision applicants (by February 1): Theatre Dept. notifies of BFA acceptance in mid-February
•University application not required before prescreen, but strongly recommended before final audition
