The LCCC Arts and Sciences guide maps MUSC 155 to CSU MUS 117 for Music tracks. General BA Music transfer applicants must still complete the School of Music audition.

What's The Process

Admission Process

All BA in Music applicants complete a performance audition (or interview) on their principal instrument or voice at a scheduled Audition Day

Voice principals: two memorized selections in contrasting styles (no language requirement); pop songs and choral parts are not accepted

Instrumental principals: follow the standard BA area requirements for the instrument (two contrasting solos, scales, sight-reading)

A music theory and musicianship placement exam is administered on audition day

Video Option

Applicants for whom travel presents a hardship may submit a one-take, unedited video with the entire applicant in frame

Timeline

Submit the School of Music Application at least 2 weeks before your desired audition date

Fall 2027-Spring 2028 Audition Days are TBA

Competitive talent-based scholarships for qualified incoming freshmen, transfer, and current students

Awarded based on audition performance

May be applied toward tuition and fees
