Prescreen Requirements
Dance
TWO MINUTE DANCE SOLO
•Demonstrate wide range of dance technique and artistry
•May be self-choreographed or choreographed by someone else (credit choreographer)
•If skilled in multiple forms (jazz, modern, ballet, tap), may present two separate shorter pieces
MOVEMENT CRITERIA
•Must include transitioning to/from floor, jumping, balancing, travelling, and moments of full body expansion
RECORDING
•No zooming, close ups, or editing within the video

GOAL STATEMENT (500 words maximum)
•Why are you pursuing this well-rounded training? Note who we are (and are not) and describe how you are a great fit for this environment and how this department helps support your unique dreams
DANCE RESUME
•Include training, teachers, performance and technical experience
•Include names of dance directors and choreographers worked with, media work, awards, and summer scholarships
PHOTOGRAPH
•Upload a photo of yourself so we can identify you (professional HEADSHOT not required)
INTRODUCTION VIDEO
•In 60 seconds or less, state your name, where you are from, and outline your performing experience

PRESCREEN
•Submit dance solo video and introduction video via Creative Supplement
•Faculty review to determine eligibility for live audition and talent scholarship
LIVE AUDITION
•Select applicants invited to live audition session after prescreen review
•Live auditions offered both in-person and virtually
•Includes meeting faculty and current students plus Q&A session
Scholarship Info
•Department of Dance Talent Scholarship available to all BA and BFA students
•No separate application required - automatically considered when applying to dance program
•Funding determined during review of Creative Supplement, prescreen, and live audition
