Good to Know

Application Logistics

CGCC's current new-student page says everyone is accepted; applicants complete the Maricopa admissions application, submit identification, monitor Maricopa email, complete placement and advising steps, and register for classes.

The Musical Theatre program lists admission as the first step and says semester and flex-start classes are available online, in person, and in hybrid formats.

Enrollment

Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one college.

Transfer Pathway

This is a transfer pathway degree built to transfer into a four-year program. Confirm which universities it articulates to, and which credits carry over, before you enroll.

What's The Process

Audition Process

The AAFA Musical Theatre program and catalog pages describe a transfer foundation and regular CGCC enrollment path; they do not publish an admission audition, prescreen, or interview for this degree.

Audition Expectations

The catalog says some courses may require instructor permission and/or an audition for placement; MUP/THP273 Musical Theatre Production is listed as by audition. These course requirements are not modeled as program admission gates.
